Our Association

The TMAA-Shotokan Karate-Do Association India was formed under guidance of HANSHI TIGER NASIM KHAN who is the Chief Instructor of TMAA-SKA-INDIA, ISKE-INDIA Branch & General Manager of World Budo Union Federation (TURKEY) INDIA BRANCH. Under the President ship of Janab Md. Badruddin Khan Sb. Our President Md. Badruddin Khan sb. was a deep social worker, very helpful for everyone; He was commissioner of ward no- 28/36 and Vice President of Nagar Youth congress committee (I) of Katihar District. He was born in 1942 and passed away on 28th April 2008.

HANSHI TIGER NASIM KHAN is having experience of more than Three decades in different facets of Karate and Martial Arts. He started his training of Shotokan Karate in early 1979-1980 under Sensei Thamb Bahadur Rai (NEPAL),HANSHI Tiger Nasim Khan first introduced Karate in various Districts of Bihar & in North East Bihar also. TMAA-SKAI is the fastest growing Karate Association in India with more than 10,000 students practicing regularly.

Our Objective

We are nonprofit organization. The main objective of TMAA-SHOTOKAN KARATE DO ASSOCIATION INDIA (TMAA-SKAI) is to create a consolidated movement for popularizing the true form of Shotokan Karate in India, where many instructors are teaching one or other form of karate and most of them in a diluted version. TMAA-SKAI is creating an awareness among these karate practitioners, so that, they can come in the main stream of authentic Shotokan karate. TMAA-SKAI also aims to raise the karate standard of Indian Karatekas to the International level so that in future they can bring laurels for the country. The steps towards achieving these goals are:

We provide free Karate and Self defense training for GIRLS/WOMEN for girls/women empowerment.
To organize Training Camps, Grading/Training Seminars under reputed Sensei/Grandmaster from other countries also on a nominal charges.
Set medals in National/International Championship in India and abroad.

As a first step towards achieving the objectives, the organization invites reputed National/International Instructors time to time for advance training camp for the members of the federation so that they get authentic International Karate exposure. Members of TMAA-SKAI regularly take part in International Karate Championship / Seminars in different countries.

TMAA-SKAI has got training centers in various states of India and is a recognized organization by Karate Association of India (KAI) , which is the only karate organization, recognized by GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, MINISTRY OF YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS

Our mission at TMAA-SKAI is to help each student reach his or her highest personal potential and to provide them the lifelong benefits of participating in the martial arts, through professional, superior Karate instructions. Our students have the opportunity to advance through various belt ranks in order to achieve the ultimate goal of Black Belt. These achievements take place through goal setting, one on-one tutoring and involvement in tournaments both in and out of our Dojo/School.

Purpose and Objective

The purpose of the TMAA-SKAI is to diffuse true Karate to the community, to foster Karate on a National level, to develop the art of Shotokan Karate as well as the spirit and physical culture of the members of the Association and to standardize grading's. Association will produce a real Karate training to all of our members.

The aims and objectives of the Association shall be -

To support, develop, protect and advance the practice of Karate throughout the India and abroad.
To establish universal criteria for standards, and the recognition of instructors and grading's.
To organize Karate Championships.
To select and support contestants in National and International Karate Championships.
To promote the proper, healthy and lawful practice of Karate
To prevent racial, religious, sexual or political discrimination among practitioners of Karate.
To co-operate with, support and assist other organizations, bodies and parties, which, in the opinion of the Association promote the best interests of Karate.
To communicate with, affiliate with, or enter into relationships, with other organizations, associations, bodies and societies whether in India or outside India in such a way as to further the interests of Karate.
To liaise with government and semi governmental bodies both State and to apply for and pursue applications for governmental assistance and support.
To enter into legal and other arrangements and relationships of a business or commercial nature such as may be necessary to promote the interest of Karate and to do all such other lawful things as are incidental to or conducive to the attainment of the objects of the Association.
The association shall organize a national tournament once a year under the rules laid down by the World Karate Federation (W.K.F).
